I am focused on acting full time —Halita 

Meet one of Nollywood’s finest,former Miss Imo State winner 2014/15, DSTV and GOTV family series program “Halita” the main character Chisom Gabriella Agoawuike who talks with Obaland Magazine Chindinma Tijani recently about her journey to acting and more.

Who is Chisom Gabriella Agoawuike? Who is the Super character Halita one of the most popular TV Programs in 2019/2020?

Chisom Gabriella Agoawuike is a Multi-Talented Actor from Imo State. Super ambitious, graceful, loving, and trustworthy. A daughter, sister, and a friend. A girl who wants to leave good footprints on the sands of time. I am the second child of my parents. I did my Primary Education at IOGT [International Organization of Good Templers] Owerri. Secondary at Federal Government Girls College, Owerri. And Tertiary at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri where I studied Public Health.

How do you cope with acting and modeling?

I don’t model anymore unless when necessary like working for a Brand that contacts me through my work “Acting” I’m focused on acting full time.

When and why did you go into a movie? When did you kick off into the film industry? And how has it been?

I started acting in short films in 2014 but got my big break in 2018. I went into movies because it’s my passion, what I absolutely enjoy and love doing it. The journey has been interesting, it’s been sweet and sometimes sour, but in all, I’m grateful to God for his blessings.

What influence you into Entertainment world because you look very private?

My passion drove me into the Entertainment World. I have always loved to act like a little girl and I knew from the time that I’ll be taking this path in life. And yes, I’m a very private person.

Was Halita your first Movie?

No, Halita wasn’t my first Movie.

Has Halita made you brighter than the sun?

Oh yes. Halita is the gift that keeps giving. I’m thankful for her and the series.

What character make you smile more in Halita?

Honestly, I will say almost all of them. Vicoco, Onfo, Bitrus, Kudus, Adi.

Any award so far?

No awards for now.

Who do you consider the best actors in Nollywood? How has the person influenced you?

Hmmm, best actors are actors who have worked tirelessly to see the industry move to a great level in all ramifications. I can’t even mention names. I have learned from so many of them when it comes to work ethics and their tenacity to thrive regardless
of setbacks.

How can you rate Halita?

I will give the series a 10/10 Hahaha.

What other movie have you done apart from Halita?

I have featured in Short movie and featured length films like the “Treasure, Simi, Journey of the S, Our husband has gone mad again.

What’s the most challenging step you have taken? Since you became a celebrity?

I try to remain successful.

Nigeria Movie Industry is still evolving rate it on a scale of ten?

Honestly, I can’t even do any rating right now. Nollywood Industry is growing and more needs to be done.

Who are the International Actors you love and will hope to work with soonest?

Lupita Nyongo, Kerry Washington, Issa Rae, Emilia Clarke. oh, they are so many.

What recent movies have you seen this year that you are proud of?

I haven’t seen any movie this year. I have been so busy with work.

What niche do you want to carve for yourself in the next couple of years?
I will love to be the best and most impactful female actor and to bag Awards both Locally and Internationally.

Which emcees /Femcees do you consider to be making a mark in the movie industry and talk show in Nigeria?

My Emcees and Femcees are I.k, Helen Paul, Osas Ighodaro, Ebuka, Hero Daniel to name but a few.
