An Ibom Air passenger has been caught on video assaulting an air hostess and getting into a violent confrontation with airport officials at an undisclosed Nigerian airport.
According to a report by The Informant, the incident, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the female passenger striking a female flight attendant during boarding.
In the footage, the situation escalated further when airport security and ground staff attempted to intervene. The passenger was seen pushing, shoving, and resisting officials, in the boarding area.
Ibom Air is yet to issue an official statement on the matter, while calls for stricter enforcement of aviation conduct rules have intensified. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is also expected to investigate the case to determine possible sanctions.
