Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a senatorial aspirant for Edo South, has received his Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms from a coalition of supporters.
The forms were presented by a group comprising friends, political associates, and stakeholders from across Edo South, in what observers describe as a significant boost to his campaign.
The development is being interpreted as a sign of growing support and unity among political actors and grassroots mobilisers in the district, with many backing Ize-Iyamu’s bid to represent Edo South in the Senate.
Speaking at the presentation, Ize-Iyamu expressed appreciation to the group, noting that he was surprised by the gesture. He acknowledged the high cost of obtaining the forms and commended his supporters for their commitment.
He said the move reflects confidence in his ability to represent the interests of Edo South at the national level.
Political observers say the gesture signals increasing momentum for Ize-Iyamu’s candidacy as preparations for the senatorial race gather pace.
