The suspects, identified as Abulaziz Habibu and Nuhu Thomas, were intercepted by operatives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit while attempting to transport a fabricated AK-47 rifle. Following their arrest, the suspects reportedly confessed to their involvement in the illicit arms trade, supplying weapons to bandits operating in the Zaria area.
