The Kwara State Police  Commissioner, CP Tuesday  Assayomo has ordered twenty-four hours of patrol and security surveillance across all entry points to the state.                                                                                              This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin by the State Police Public Relation Officer SP Ajayi Okasanmi.
According to the statement, in the command’s determination to ensure the safety and security of residents of the state necessary security strategies have been emplaced across the length and breadth of the State.                        Okasanmi noted that the strategies were in synergy with sister security agencies and other non-state actors to protect the lives and properties of the people.
He said this became necessary to diffuse the tension on some social media platforms credited to a Federal Lawmaker in the House of Representatives, to the effect that the fleeing bandits kingpin  Bello Turji and his gang who were facing terrible time with security forces in Zamfara State have relocated to a forest in the State.              The command further added that the State is safe and secured and advised members of the public to go about their lawful businesses without fear or intimidation as all the boundaries, both local and international within the state have been well and massively policed.
He stressed that both the police and the military. Vigilante and local hunters are working tirelessly with security agents to ensure the forests are well monitored and protected.
Okasanmi pointed out that Tactical units have also been re-energized with the provision of additional patrol vehicles and other needed tools and incentives that could aid them in the performance of their assigned task.
and he enjoined the public to make information of strange movements and activities around them available to the security agencies.
