Lagos Police Order has said it is on aware of answer any security issue in Ikorodu.
This is following a few worries over a moving flyer cautioning occupants, particularly non-Yoruba indigenes, off Ikorodu town Ministerial portfolios: Oil workers demand results as Tinubu heads petroleum ministrysomewhere in the range of 10pm and 5.30am on Saturday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Data on the flyer flowing via web-based entertainment stages as reported by the Olumale Eluku of Ikorodu, Boss Murisiku Oreagba, uncovered that “Oba Abdul-Kabir Shototobi has affirmed that the current year’s Eluku Celebration (Ikorodu Town) will come up on the dates above.
“He exhorted the two guys, females, children, and girls, inhabitants, outsiders, vehicle proprietors, Okada riders, Keke Marwa riders, drivers and particularly the people who are non-Yoruba or indigene of Ikorodu Town to kindly avoid coming into Ikorodu Municipality from 10pm to 5:30am on the above-named dates,”
Reached, Oreagba whose name was on the flyer affirmed its genuineness. He anyway said that the impacted regions were just the focuses of the town and not the whole town.
Oreagba, in a phone discussion on Friday, said, “OK. It’s in the focal point of the town, not the entire of Ikorodu. It has limits, not the whole Ikorodu. It’s the old focal point of the town. It doesn’t influence all over the place.
“Like, on Lagos Street, individuals will be out, banks will work, however at Ajina which is the focal point of the town and Cele – those old places – they are the impacted regions. The people who live in the focal point of the town know that we do a far-reaching development consistently. At Ebute, individuals will emerge.”
