The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has rescued two persons, a male and a female, from a lone accident that occurred on a highway in Lagos. The accident, which involved a Venza vehicle with registration number APP 04 HE, was caused by brake failure while the vehicle was in motion at high speed.
According to a statement by the director of the Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a culvert, resulting in two serious casualties. However, due to the swift response of LASTMA officials and the public, the casualties were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
LASTMA’s general manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, has expressed concern for the injured and wished them a speedy recovery. He emphasized the importance of regular vehicle maintenance, particularly ensuring the functionality of braking systems, and urged all motorists to comply with government-prescribed speed limits.LASTMA Rescues Two in Lone Accident on Lagos Highway
