Oyo state oga, Seyi Makinde, don yan again say im government go still dey work to make school beta for pikin dem as schools for the state dey ready to open for new school year.
Schools go open for Monday, September 14, 2026. Di first school term go last 13 weeks, e go finish for December 11, 2026. Students and teachers go still get small break time during di term.
Makinde government don yan say dem dey hustle make pikin dem fit learn for beta place, make teachers fit do their work well well, and make every pikin get chance to go school.
For the same way, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board don continue to train teachers and improve how dem dey teach small children. The board say dem don train 320 teachers wey dey take care of young children for the 33 local government areas for the state.
The training na to help teachers know better way to teach children and help the small pikin dem start school with better knowledge.
Government don also dey repair and build schools for different parts of Oyo State. Dem don announce say six new model schools go soon open for the three big areas of the state.
Makinde government don already make education one of the main things wey dem dey work on. Dem don repair some schools, provide things wey children and teachers need and continue to support free basic schooling.
But school matter for Oyo still get problem, especially when e come to the safety of teachers and children.
Earlier this year, some teachers and students were carried away from schools for Oriire Local Government Area. The matter make teachers stop work for some time because dem want government make schools safer. After government and teachers meet and talk the matter, teachers later go back to work.
As schools prepare to open, people go dey look whether government go fit keep schools safe, help teachers well and make sure say children dey learn for good condition.
