Omowunmi Aloba, widow of the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has agreed to conduct a DNA test to confirm the paternity of their son, Liam. This development follows a legal petition by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, requesting the test.
The family’s legal team initially faced challenges in serving Omowunmi with court documents, leading the court to encourage a mediation process. After further discussions, both parties agreed to proceed with the DNA test, with the terms of settlement officially filed in court.
According to the agreement, the DNA test will be conducted at an accredited medical facility within Lagos or another mutually agreed location. Mohbad’s father has accepted responsibility for covering the associated costs of the test.
The court emphasized that the test should take place in a reliable laboratory under official supervision to ensure accuracy. Both parties are responsible for their legal costs in this matter, with the exception of the DNA test expenses, which will be borne by Joseph Aloba.
