Who is Mr Frank Ehimuan Aire in the entertainment industry?
Frank Ehimuan Aire, alias M-One ( born on 6 September 1972) in Ajegunle in Nigeria and a descendant of Esan People, is a Nigerian entertainment business mogul, music producer and artist talent scout (A&R) , who also popularised Decale Coupe pioneer artist such as Douk Saga, Afrobeat singer like Terry G, and Nigerian dancehall artist like Patoranking in South Africa, Ghana, Ireland, Cotonou, Burkina Faso, Mali and part of Senegal.
Early life:
Frank Ehimuan Aire born in Ajegunle on 6th September 1972 to Esan parents. He attended Udomi Primary School, located at Uwessan Irrua then proceeded to Ujiabhole Grammar School and finally graduated at Obiyon Secondary School. He is the sixth born of six siblings.
Music career:
At the age of 10years, he founded a local music band in Ajegunle “Sand dust boys” made up of Baba Fryo, Daddy Fresh, Frank Emuan himself and Oritse Femi , the group disbanded because of egocentrism and continuous debates and confusion on band leadership that was consecutively proposed by Baba Fryo and Daddy Fresh which the group pioneer Frank Ehimuan disagreed numerous times during entertainment week event and they disbanded in 1991.
In 2002, Frank Ehumuan Aire founded De-Aire Entertainment , an indie record label and
(A&R ) company in Nigeria, he later toured Africa at large scouting for upcoming and veteran musicians. He has produced theme songs for Terry G, Patoranking and Meje, to mention a few. He is best known for popularizing Decale Coupe music genre and Afrobeats music genre in South Africa and various West Africa countries. In 2010, he claimed to have his music career influence and inspirations from the late legendary Sunny Okosun, Baba Fela Anikulapo Kuti and 2face Idibia, during his interview with Obaland Magazine via Whatsapp Chat, he said ” Music is something I choose as a little child because of the love I have for music, I used to gather some of my age group and carve guitar, microphones and drums with woods and cans, we form band and we sing together as a band. I remember when my elders sisters used to ask me what I want to do for a living and I will answer them and say music and they will ask me to sing and I will always sing in Ishan language l and they will start laughing at me, as they did not realize at that time the love I have for music”
He has also worked with African music legends like Douk Saga, Papa Wemba, Petit Denise, Patoranking, Nasty C, Terry G, Meje , YoungstaCPT , and many more. He won Best music producer of the year at Trace Tv music competition 2014.
