The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of the son and adopted daughter of popular actor Mr. Ibu, for allegedly stealing N55 million from the actor’s donations meant for his medical bills.
The suspects, Onyeabuchi Okafor and Jasmine Okekeagwu, were accused of conspiring to defraud Mr. Ibu while he was on a sickbed.
The police stated that the suspects hacked into Mr. Ibu’s phone and transferred the funds to their personal accounts with the intention of using the money to travel abroad. The police have recovered the stolen funds and charged the suspects to court.
