The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Maro Ebojoh, for allegedly sourcing potential organ donors and preparing them for immediate kidney transplant. Ebojoh, from Delta State, was arrested by security officials at Sabo Motor Park in Lafia and handed over to the police.

According to Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Jauro, Ebojoh confessed to the crime, revealing that three victims had been lured with promises of N2 million each for their kidneys. The victims, Umar Barau, 25, Suleiman Alhaji-Garba, 20, Williams Daring, 32, and Stanley Ezekiel, 27, were taken to a medical hospital for evaluation.Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Maro Ebojoh, for allegedly sourcing potential organ donors

The police rescued one victim after his blood pressure rose during evaluation, prompting medical attention. Ebojoh’s client had agreed to pay N6.5 million, with an advance payment of N500,000 made to each victim. He also confessed to paying N2.5 million to a donor two months ago.

The police are urging citizens to be cautious of offers that seem too good to be true and to report suspicious activities to security agencies
