, a joint task force team of the Abia State Homeland Security and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested over five suspected drug dealers and seized drugs weighing over 1.217 kilograms. The raid took place in Umuahia, where one Adaobi Nweke was arrested and a significant amount of drugs was recovered. The seized drugs include dried weeds, loud weed, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine ice. The suspects arrested include two males and three females.
The joint team also conducted a raid in a notorious location called “Down Below” and seized additional drugs. The quantity of drugs seized is yet to be determined. The state government has warned criminals to stay away from the state, emphasizing that drug-related activities will not be tolerated.
