The Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, led the state government delegation, which included the Deputy Governor, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, and members of the State Executive Council.

The burial ceremony featured full military honors, including a 21-gun salute. The former President was laid to rest at his residence in Daura, surrounded by large crowds who gathered to pay their last respects. Prayers were offered to Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of his shortcomings and to grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
