A Nigerian-born journalist, Richard Edoki, has been shortlisted for the Best Newcomer Category at the 2025 National Hospital Radio Awards in the United Kingdom. Edoki, also known as Richybongo, hosts a show called “African Vibe with Richybongo” on the Community Hospital Broadcasting Network (CHBN) in Cornwall, England.
The show celebrates African culture and diversity, fostering inclusivity with Cornish audiences. Edoki’s program has brought African traditions to Cornish airwaves, creating a sense of community and shared learning for listeners.
The National Hospital Radio Awards ceremony will take place on April 5, 2025. The awards, organized by the Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA), honor exceptional contributions to hospital broadcasting across the United Kingdom.
