Nosa rex, father burial ceremony call for dignitaries

A funeral procession unique to the culture, this funeral practice blends traditional European and African cultures. A jazz procession leads the deceased from the funeral home or church or the resting place to the grave, playing dirges and sad music all the way. Afterwards, the band plays merrier music at a post-funeral party where the life of the deceased father was celebrated by actor Nosa Rex and his siblings Lay Late Father to Rest.

A huge crowd assembled and bashed out wearing black shirts with the late man’s photo as they showed up to support the bereaved family. independent journalist and Obaland magazine reporters from Benin City Edo State, Nigeria, Reported that Popular actor Nosa Rex’s late father has been buried and the movie star shared some of the moments from the event. Rex is definitely proud of how well his father who was an ex-military officer served the country as his colleagues paid him their last respect and related how he felt seeing the love displayed.

Nigeria's Security Agencies Record Major Breakthroughs in August* Nigeria's security and regulatory agencies have conducted major nationwide operations in August, resulting in hundreds of arrests, large-scale drug seizures, asset recoveries, and multiple convictions. The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lanre Issa-Onilu, disclosed these figures at a joint security briefing in Abuja. According to Issa-Onilu, the Nigerian Army executed 261 operations nationwide, repelling attacks, dismantling insurgent cells, and rescuing abducted civilians. Some notable achievements include: - *30 terrorists neutralized in Zamfara State* during air and ground strikes - *76 militants, including women and children, surrendered to security forces* in Zamfara - *141 kidnap victims rescued* by the police - *1,950 arrests linked to violent crimes, kidnapping, and banditry* made by the police The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) also reported significant seizures, including over *66,000 kilogrammes of narcotics*. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) secured *588 convictions* in August alone, recovering more than *₦21 billion* in assets from corruption cases. The NOA Director-General emphasized the importance of intelligence-sharing and public cooperation in disrupting criminal networks. He urged communities to report suspicious movements and resist spreading unverified alerts that fuel panic. *Key Highlights:* - *Nigerian Army:* 261 operations executed, 30 terrorists neutralized in Zamfara - *Police:* 1,950 arrests, 141 kidnap victims rescued - *NDLEA:* Over 66,000 kilogrammes of narcotics seized - *EFCC:* 588 convictions, ₦21 billion recovered in assets - *NOA:* Activated offices across 36 states and 774 local government areas to intensify grassroots engagement and counter misinformation
