The Edo State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening exercise for applicants from the state in the ongoing Nigeria Police Force constable recruitment will commence on March 9 and end on April 18, 2026.
In a statement, the Command advised applicants who successfully completed the online registration to visit the recruitment portal to check their application status and print the necessary documents ahead of the exercise.
According to the Command, all shortlisted applicants from Edo State are required to report for the screening at the Police Training School (PTS), Ogida, Benin City, on the date and time indicated on their Invitation Slip.
Applicants are expected to present the following documents at the screening venue: Invitation Slip with assigned table, Credential Screening Form, National Identity Number (NIN) slip or NIMC card, O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, and Local Government or State of Origin certificate.
Specialist applicants are also required to present their Trade Test or relevant certificates, while all candidates must submit a duly completed and signed Guarantor’s Form with attached photocopies and passport photographs of their referees.
The Command further stated that applicants must present both original and duplicate copies of their credentials neatly arranged in two separate white flat files, with recent passport photographs attached.
Candidates are also required to appear at the screening venue dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings.
The Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, CP Monday Agbonika, reiterated that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge, warning applicants to beware of fraudsters and impostors who may attempt to exploit the process for financial gain.
He assured that anyone found engaging in fraudulent activities would be arrested and prosecuted.
Applicants were therefore urged to strictly adhere to the guidelines and report for the screening on their scheduled dates.
