The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II, on Thursday paid a working visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The monarch was accompanied by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, in what observers described as a show of unity between the traditional institution and the state government.
Although details of the closed-door meeting were not disclosed, sources said discussions focused on promoting peace, cultural preservation, and sustainable development in Edo State.
The visit highlights the Oba’s continued engagement with national leadership in efforts to advance the interests of Edo people.
