Obaseki Believes the  Nation’s Future  is in the hands of  Youths- Commissioner

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki believes the Nation’s  future  is in the hands of the Youth and has approved the sum of N2 Billion for a befitting building for youth activities in the state.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon Zubairu Dada Abubakar during a courtesy visit by some youth based organizations to his office in Benin City.

 “The Governor  who  believes that the future of the nation is in the hands of  youths has done a lot for students and youths through skills acquisitions, provision of subvention and approval of N2billion for the building of a befitting structure for Youths in the budget,” he noted.

 The  Convener of Act as One for Good Governance, Amb. Eson Blessing Osariemen who led members of Junior Chamber International, JCI on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner said the Governor has done a lot in the state which needs to be publicized
According to Amb. Osariemen who is the National Chairman, Junior Chamber International, JCI Ten outstanding Persons Award ceremony holding in Benin City, this year, Governor Obaseki has   executed several projects in the state which was revealed to the public during the last Alaghodaro tour of projects.
“We were very surprised to see the marvelous works of the Governor and we had to video them for people to know what has been done so far.
“It is good for lovers of Edo State to ensure that there is continuity of projects going on in the state by putting all hands on deck and ensure that people see what has been done by the government,” she added.
The Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Zubairu Abubakar commended the Junior Chamber International for bringing the first Ten outstanding persons  Award ceremony to Edo state, noting that there is no doubt that this will have multiplying effect to attract youths to aspire to be outstanding.
While urging the JCI to help in ensuring that Governor Obaseki finish well and strong and  bring a worthy successor for the continuation of what has been done in the state, the Commissioner stressed that it is important that people are educated to see the light.
In the same vain, The Commissioner thanked the Orhionmwon Students Union (National)  for acknowledging what the governor has done to transform the Abudu College of Education to a befitting institution.
The President, Orhionmwon Students Union (National) Comrade Etinosa Israel Okunbor, who commended Governor Obaseki for the attention given to students and youths in the state disclosed that, ” we have decided to unite to discuss the way forward to ensure continuity.”
Also, executive members of The Rotaract Club, Basic Medical Student Association and Securing the Creative Goldmine in Youths Initiative also paid  visit to the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs.
