The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Fred Newton Erhunmunse on his emergence as the Chairman of the Edo State Football Association (FA), after an election.
In a statement, Obaseki described the outcome of the election as a reflection of the choice of members of the association and other football stakeholders in the State as well as the trust and confidence reposed in his ability to steer the Edo FA towards greater heights.
The governor urged the new helmsman to deploy his wealth of experience in fostering the growth of football at both grassroots and professional levels within the next four years.
The governor said, “I heartily congratulate you, Fred Newton Erhunmunse on your emergence as the chairman of the Edo State Football Association after a keenly contested election.
“Your well-deserved election is in recognition of your hard work, dedication, outstanding leadership skills and unwavering commitment to enhancing the football landscape in the State.
“I am confident that under your leadership, the Edo State Football Association will thrive, significantly contributing to the development of football in our State and nation.”
