The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 31-year-old man, Lukpata Micheal, for allegedly breaking into a house in the Igode area of the state. The suspect reportedly damaged and stole properties worth N2.6m.
According to the police, a report of the break-in was received on Monday, and upon investigation, it was discovered that the suspect had broken into the house, causing extensive damage and stealing various items, including electrical cables, wires, sockets, aluminum casement, and window frames with glasses.
The police spokesman, CSP Omolola Odutola, stated that the suspect was arrested by detectives and that investigation is ongoing. This arrest is the latest in a series of burglary cases in Ogun State, highlighting the need for increased security measures to protect properties and residents.
