Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the redeployment of the Commissioner for Works, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, to the Ministry of Water Resources.
The development was announced in a government statement issued on April 6, 2026, by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.According to the statement, the redeployment takes immediate effect.
Following the move, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works has been directed to oversee the affairs of the ministry pending the appointment of a new commissioner.
The state government said the decision is part of ongoing administrative adjustments aimed at enhancing efficiency in service delivery.
