Abubakar Atiku, a three-year-old kidnapped boy, was rescued by the Delta State Police Command on June 15, 2023, during a raid on the hideouts of a six-man syndicate at Abraka Market in the Oshimili-South Local Government Area of the state.
They learned that the victim was kidnapped by one of the suspects on June 13, 2023. The victim’s mother, Aisha Yusuf, told a police station in the Abraka community that her son had been taken by a man named Mohammed Isah, 35, in an effort to find out where he was.

In response to the complaint, it was discovered that the Divisional Police Officer of “C” Division Asaba, CSP Apu Torukeregha, led a team of police officers in a frantic search for the kidnapped child.
According to reports, the team stormed Abraka Market in the Oshimili-South Local Government Area after receiving a tip and detained Isah.
Isah confessed to the crime and led the operatives to the arrest of three additional members of the child stealing syndicate, according to the state Police Public Relations, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident during interrogation.
