Oredo Council Begins Asphalting of Ugbor/Ogumwenhi Road

sidents, business owners, and motorists in Ugbor and Ogumwenhi communities have commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for what they described as the continued delivery of democratic dividends at the grassroots, following the commencement of the asphalting of the Ugbor/Ogumwenhi Road by the Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri.

The road project comes on the heels of the successful rehabilitation and asphalting of failed sections of First East Circular Road near Igun Junction and parts of New Benin by Total Filling Station in Benin City.

Speaking during an inspection of the ongoing project, Hon. Iduseri said the road rehabilitation is in line with Governor Okpebholo’s SHINE Agenda, which prioritizes infrastructure development and improved living conditions for residents.

The council chairman dismissed rumours that the project had been abandoned, assuring residents that no project initiated for the benefit of the people would be left uncompleted under the current administration.

According to him, his administration remains committed to executing more people-oriented projects across the various wards in Oredo Local Government Area.

Also speaking during the inspection, the site engineer, Mr. Ogbemudia Efosa, and the Leader of the Oredo Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Reliance Okungbowa, commended Iduseri for his determination and commitment to delivering projects that positively impact residents.

They noted that the rehabilitation of the failed sections of the Ugbor/Ogumwenhi Road reflects the council chairman’s dedication to improving infrastructure and bringing the dividends of democracy closer to the people.

The project is expected to enhance transportation, boost economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life for residents and road users in the area.
