The Edo State Tipper Drivers Association of Nigeria, led by its Chairman, Comrade Osaro Aigbekan, has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council,
Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri, to congratulate him on his emergence as Council Chairman and to reaffirm their commitment to supporting his administration.During the visit, Hon. Iduseri expressed deep appreciation for the delegation, describing the gesture as a strong show of solidarity and partnership.
He highlighted the critical role the association plays in supporting infrastructural development and assured them of the Council’s readiness to collaborate closely, especially as plans are underway to commence road grading and other community-based infrastructure projects across Oredo.
The Chairman commended Comrade Aigbekan for his effective leadership and the unity he has fostered within the association, noting that such qualities are essential in driving positive change at the grassroots level.
Hon. Iduseri also called for the association’s support in the Council’s ongoing campaign against drug abuse, an initiative driven by the Office of the First Lady of Edo State. He emphasized that curbing substance abuse among the youth requires a united front involving all stakeholders, including transport unions.
He reiterated his administration’s dedication to inclusive governance, stressing that community development can only be achieved through cooperation, responsible leadership, and shared responsibility.
