The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy through impactful projects and people-oriented policies across the council area.
In a message to commemorate Democracy Day, the chairman paid tribute to Nigeria’s democratic heroes, whose sacrifices and commitment, he said, laid the foundation for the democratic system enjoyed by citizens today.
According to him, the legacy of these heroes continues to inspire leaders and citizens alike to uphold the values of justice, accountability, inclusiveness, and service to the people.
He noted that under the Project Shine Agenda of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Oredo Local Government administration has continued to implement initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
The chairman highlighted ongoing investments in road maintenance, market infrastructure, environmental sanitation, education, youth empowerment, and community development projects designed to enhance the quality of life of the people.
He assured residents that the council would continue to work tirelessly towards building a more prosperous, peaceful, and progressive Oredo for both present and future generations.
While congratulating residents on the occasion of Democracy Day, the chairman expressed optimism that Nigeria’s democracy would continue to grow stronger despite the nation’s diversity and existing challenges.
He also prayed for God’s blessings upon Oredo Local Government Area, Edo State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
