Laven Jacob, a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly representing Pankshin South Constituency, has been kidnapped by gunmen at his residence in Jos North Local Government Area. The incident occurred on Monday night when Jacob returned home to Angwan Kaji area of Dong and was ambushed by the kidnappers.
According to reports, Jacob was intercepted by unknown hoodlums while driving into his house around 8 pm. Two close associates confirmed the incident, stating that the kidnappers whisked him away to an unknown destination. The Plateau State Police Command received a report of the incident and promptly mobilized officers to the scene
The police are currently combing the bushes to rescue Jacob. Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Adesina has directed the deployment of tactical teams and divisional officers across the metropolis to ensure Jacob’s safe rescue. As of now, no contact has been made between the kidnappers and Jacob’s family
