Police Deploy Rapid Response Teams to JAMB Centres, Dismiss Safety Rumours as Baseless

The Nigeria Police Force has deployed rapid response teams to examination centres nationwide ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, while dismissing circulating rumours about threats to candidates’ safety as unfounded.

“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to categorically state that these claims are without basis,” Placid said. He added that officers have been stationed at Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board centres across the country to ensure the security of candidates, officials, and materials throughout the examination period.
