The Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ was invited to the DPG meeting at the request of the Director of Social Development, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
The objective was to present the Act Naija Project and inform stakeholders about the upcoming National Dialogue on Social Protection, scheduled for August 12–13, 2025 in Abuja.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Hamidou Poufon (UNICEF), who welcomed participants, including those joining virtually from the World Bank and the Ministry of Budget and National Planning and the Executive Director of ANEEJ, Rev David Ugolor
He introduced the agenda items, notably the Review of the National Social Protection Policy and the Act Naija Project.
