REPORT ANY SITUATION TO US, SAY’S NEW COMMISSIONER OF POLICE.

The new Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Muhammed Adamu Dankwara pay courtesy visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalist, Edo state council on Monday, at the NUJ Press Centre, No 1 Sir Gabriel Igbinedion Way, GRA, Benin City.

The visit was to familiarize himself with the leadership and other members of the union.

The CP Dankwara was followed to the union by some other police members and was introduce to the union by the police PRO, chidi Nwanbuzor.

The chairman of the union Festus Alenkhe who was on ground with some members of the union welcome the new commissioner of police, he said police and press has always work in harmony, he promised to also work with the new CP To ensure that criminals in Edo state are wipe out.

Festus Alenkhe also appeal to the commissioner of police to work with his men and vigilanty group by putting them in some check point in some  areas in the state.
he advice the CP to feel free to listen to people complains and also listen to journalist as they are the mouth piece of the people, Alekhen also advice all journalist to work and support the new CP.

On his part the commissioner of police Muhammed Adamu Dankwara, who express satisfaction over the meeting, said he is part of Edo NUJ, he beg the union to report any situation to him and he is ready to work with the union he thank the chairman for the opportunity to meet with the union.

The new commissioner of police, Muhammed Adamu Dankwara is from Adamawa state, he optained Bsc in business administration, masters in accounting, in April 18 1992, to serve his father land, he join the police force to train in Nigeria police academy in Kano, he was then found worthy after his training and taking to different rank till date.
