REVIEW: Bless me by Nigerian Eu mainstream Afrobeat singer – Gee Jay

If you recall Gee Jay was featured by one of the popular Nigerian top singers Paul Okoye  of the Psquare,  on one of his  hit song Bank Alert in 2016, which fueled the  Eu star girl Gee Jay to prominents in the Nigeria music industry. Nigeria afrobeat was becoming boring recently due to some upcoming afrobeat acts that often jump on energetic beats without concepts than singing “kpe kpe” “oh oh” and stuffs like that. Lyrically they all sound well though as comercial gurus. Let’s use Gee Jay’s new single titled “Bless me” as a way forward to the future of Afrobeat music . Doing beats is one thing but punching the lines is another, in the case of Gee Jay’s new single we couldn’t classify it as Afrobeat but Afrobeat with class. Mr Lucky Omosigho, the CEO of Obaland Magazine radio also a music critic was invited to listen and review with no pity “This song will take Africans  to the promise land due to the consciousness and the concept of the lyrics spiced with the quality production of Abjos beats who had previously worked with the likes of Skales, Olamide Baddo , Winning Jah , Naxis Dg, TTy Noni, Tommy Kuti,  I Cent , just an iceberg of the award winning producer’s roster ” said Mr Lucky. Gee Jay is inspiration to most Nigerian mainstream afrobeat singers  alongside the upcoming, she’s the next biggest thing Nigerians has in stock as regards Afrobeat music genre.
