Two first-year female students of Tai Solarin University of Education in Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, were reportedly raped by suspected armed robbers.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday when the robbers invaded the students’ apartments and forcibly took their personal belongings. According to a source at the school, the armed robbers, armed with guns, not only stole the students’ phones and other belongings but also led them to an uncompleted building where they took turns raping them.Robbers rape Ogun students

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and stated that efforts were underway to apprehend the suspects. She assured that the survivors had been taken to the school clinic for medical treatment. The incident was reported to the Igbeba Police Division, and the police are actively searching for the perpetrators.
