The Teranga Lions were defeated by The Netherlands in their opening encounter, but they won their second match on Friday to keep their hopes of qualifying alive.
Qatar was defeated by Cameroon thanks to goals from Boulaye Dia, Famara Diedhiou, and Bamba Dieng. Qatar will be eliminated from the competition if the leaders of Group A, the Netherlands, can not escape a loss against Ecuador later on Friday.
