Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu has said that criticisms leveled against Governor Monday Okpebholo’s leadership qualities and ability to rally stakeholders are unfounded and misguided.
The Commissioner who disclosed this in a statement in Benin City stated that Governor Monday Okpebholo has both formal education, including vision, dedication, commitment and great leadership qualities.
According to him, leadership is not solely defined by formal education, but one’s vision, dedication, and ability to deliver results, like Governor Okpebholo
“Governor Okpebholo who has masters degree, Business Administration from the University of Abuja has made significant strides in various sectors in less than ten months which has no doubt confounded his critics.
The Commissioner who was reacting to a publication by Eseosa Ewere in the social media that Okpebholo’s limited education and poor exposure was a challenge to him, said Governor Okpebholo is a silent Achiever with a vision to develop Edo State.
According to Ohonbamu, contrary to critics’ claims, Governor Okpebholo has been engaging with critical stakeholders, including traditional leaders, business communities, civil society organizations, market women, youths and investors in diaspora to discuss Edo’s future and provide profound leadership.
“The Governor’s leadership style will attract investments to make the state a hub for generating jobs and nurturing creativity and development,” he noted.
The Commissioner urged critics to focus on constructive dialogue and support Governor Okpebholo’s efforts to develop the State because his leadership has shown promising results.
” The Governors’ vision and dedication will drive progress and growth in the state. This is just the tenth month and so much has been achieved,” the Commissioner added.
