According to a police source familiar with the crash, the accident was caused by the driver of the diesel truck. The truck lost control while in motion, veered off course, and collided with the three other vehicles that were stuck in traffic on the road.
Fortunately, all the occupants of the vehicles managed to escape death. However, two passengers sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to the Lagos State Emergency Clinic at the Old Tollgate in Ojota, Lagos, for medical treatment. Good Samaritans and police officers in the area played a crucial role in the rescue and transportation of the injured victims.
Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the incident and reassured the public that no lives were lost in the crash. The two individuals who were injured are currently receiving medical treatment and are said to be responding positively.
