The Super Eagles Supporters Club has shown that it is indeed a family and welfare of members is a priority.
President of the Club Prince Vincent Okumagba led members to raise funds for one of its member Elder Tunde Souza who suffered a minor stroke and is currently in the hospital.
SESC sent a delegation led by the Deputy National President Chibuzor Anyaora alongside Cherubim Ologunye and Elder Adewale Adeyemi to pay Elder Souza a visit and also present him the sum of N400,000 (Four Hundred Thousand) as support from the club.
Speaking on behalf of the club Mr. Chibuzor said,
“We at the Super Eagles Supporters Club take the welfare of our members as a priority and Elder Souza is not left out.
He is a committed member, attend meetings, and other club functions regularly, so we said to ourselves we cannot let our own be alone that is why we have come to pay him a visit.
We pray for God’s healing and we hope that Elder Souza will be back strong and better”.
Daughter to Elder Tunde Souza, Oyinkanmola Souza received the money on behalf of his father even as she thanked the Club for the kind gesture.
“On behalf of my Father Anthony Bababatunde Souza and my siblings, we like to say a big thank you to the Super Eagles Supporters Club under the leadership of Mr. Vincent Okumagba, for the donation of N400,000 to our Dad’s health condition, we appreciate you all and would keep in touch as feedback on his health condition, 2020 has been a challenging year but it is our hope that we all make it into 2021 alive and healthy, Amen. Once again, Thank you all for the support and for visiting our dad, may the good Lord bless you all, amen”.
Elder Souza is part of the elder’s council of Super Eagles Supporters Club and was part of the Supporters who travelled to the 1994 World Cup in the USA and also the Olympics in Atalanta 1996.
