The governor of Niger state has appointed 131 women to various political positions.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has recently given his approval for the appointment of 131 Women Political Appointees in the State.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, issued a statement stating that the appointments were made to fulfil Governor Umar Bago’s campaign promise of including women in his administration.

The SSG clarified that the appointments of women to challenging positions are made based on merit, proven credentials, personal integrity, and outstanding performance records in their previous assignments.

Alhaji Usman reminded the appointees of the current administration’s policy direction, which is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the state. He urged them to work diligently towards achieving this noble objective.

He emphasized that the Appointees should utilize their knowledge, skills, and extensive experience to effectively carry out their new responsibilities. They should work diligently to prove that they are deserving of the trust placed in them.

The Governor expressed congratulations to the 131 Women Political Appointees on their appointments. The statement emphasized the Governor’s well wishes for their success and guidance from God as they undertake the challenging responsibilities of their respective offices.
