The Nigeria Police Force has taken custody of Victor Benjamin Fejemirokun, the suspect accused of murdering an FRSC officer and her daughter in Osun State. Fejemirokun was arrested in Ghana and handed over to Nigerian authorities on Monday, following a coordinated multi-agency operation.
According to the police, Fejemirokun fled Nigeria after the abduction and suspected murder, but was tracked down by Ghanaian authorities acting on credible intelligence. The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has assured a thorough investigation and promised to bring the suspect to justice
The police commended the Ghana Police Service for their professionalism and cooperation, highlighting Nigeria’s commitment to protecting lives and apprehending offenders across borders.
