In a tragic incident that occurred on a 61-year-old man identified as Olalekan Ogunmakin lost his life after being crushed by tyres that detached from a moving truck. The incident took place in the Alaka area of Lagos State, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
Ogunmakin, an official of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), was on his way to a location within the state when the unexpected accident occurred. Witnesses reported that the tyres from the truck rammed into him with great force, causing him to sustain severe injuries. Despite the efforts of bystanders who rushed to his aid and transported him to a nearby hospital, Ogunmakin tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
