The Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has announced the neutralization of 16 terrorists and the rescue of 11 kidnapped victims in Borno State.
According to a statement by Lt. Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force North East, the troops engaged retreating terrorists along the Maiduguri-Damboa road, killing 16 and forcing others to flee with severe injuries.
The troops also recovered over 20 bicycles, logistic items, weapons, and other supplies critical to terrorist operations. In a separate operation, suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers were arrested while conveying drugs meant for terrorists.
The OPHK troops have demonstrated exceptional resolve and operational superiority in repelling ISWAP attacks and dismantling terrorist networks across the North East. The rescued victims have been safely reunited with their families.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to protect civilians and support humanitarian efforts in the region.
