Troops Repel ISWAP Attack in Borno, Kill 38 Insurgent so

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have repelled a coordinated attack by ISWAP terrorists on a Forward Operating Base (FOB) Mandaragirau in Borno, killing 38 insurgents. The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday, with the terrorists launching a “half-hearted” assault on the FOB.

The troops responded with a coordinated offensive-defensive operation, forcing the insurgents into a disorderly retreat. Air support and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) were provided to enhance precision strikes. The troops pursued the fleeing insurgents, inflicting further losses.

The military recovered 7 AK-47 rifles, 8 magazines, 4 rocket-propelled grenade bombs, and assorted ammunition.
