The Turin City Council has voted in favour of a motion to explore the possibility of allowing multiple subway rides on the same city ticket.
The measure, introduced by Councillor Pierlucio Firrao and amended by Tony Ledda, was approved with 29 votes. It calls on the City Administration, in collaboration with GTT, to evaluate whether the current 100-minute ticket could be used for more than one subway journey, instead of being limited to a single ride.
According to the motion, such a change would enhance fairness for passengers, encourage greater reliance on public transportation, and remain consistent with the economic sustainability of the system.
