Turin, extraordinary opening of the passport offices

As is well-known, the Turin Police Headquarters has set up extraordinary openings of the Passport Office branch of the Police Headquarters located at Piazza Cesare Augusto 5 and of each Sectional and Seconded Commissariat, dedicated exclusively to the presentation of the application for the issuance of the passport of those who have not been successful in obtaining a passport through the regular channels.

About three thousand passport applications have been obtained since July through a total of eight special opportunities. There were 70486 acquisitions in 2022, about double the number from the year before (37882). The offices will be open late on the last Saturday of every month from January through May of 2023 (except April, when the date will be the 22nd) to accommodate the high demand without overwhelming staff on any given day.

As a result, the following will be the remarkable opportunities in the first few months of 2023:

As of January 28th, February 25th, March 25th, April 22nd, and May 27th

The application can be submitted at any police station or agency in the province, not just the Passport Office in Piazza Cesare Augusto 5. Therefore, during these days, applications can be submitted at the offices listed below without making an appointment on the online Agenda of the State Police’s institutional website, provided that applicants bring all the necessary documentation, which can be consulted at the address www.poliziadistato.it.

The passport will be issued in the standard amount of time, and applicants will have the option to have their passports delivered to a trusted third party or mailed to them by insured mail. If the need is urgent and can be attributed only to health, employment, or school, the user is asked to provide proof of this at the time of application submission. Passport Offices are Open for Business at the State Police Headquarters Piazza Cesare Augusto 5, 10100 Turin.
