Two suspected armed robbers have been arrested in Amiti community in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State for allegedly stealing bags of bitter cola.
The suspects, identified as Onyenachiya and Chigbo, were also said to have stolen a telephone receiver, ATM card and cash from an unidentified woman who was in possession of a bag of bitter cola.
It is also alleged that the suspect took turns raping the victim.
This comes as a video is currently going viral on social media showing a suspect being interrogated by several people while a pump-action gun and a stolen bag of bitter coke are on display. Corroborated.
The suspects are said to have confessed to the crime. blaming the devil for their actions.
When contacted about the incident on Thursday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the command was aware of the video.
Commander Ikenga said: “The command is aware of a video of two people allegedly confessing to being criminals.
“We are reaching out to people in the area to find out what happened. “We have also forwarded the information to your local data protection officer so that they can take the necessary steps.”
