The Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, has alerted the public to a fake Facebook account impersonating her.
In a statement, the CMD disclaimed any association with the fraudulent account, which reportedly uses her name and photograph to mislead unsuspecting members of the public.
She cautioned individuals to be wary of scams and fraudulent messages from persons posing as her on social media.
The warning follows the discovery of the fake account, which is believed to be operated by online fraudsters.
Members of the public have been advised to disregard the unverified Facebook page and avoid engaging with it, as it is not affiliated with Prof. Ize-Iyamu.
