UBTH, NNPC Explore Partnership to Enhance Healthcare Delivery in Edo

The Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, on Tuesday visited the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Exploration and Production (E&P) office in Benin City to explore areas of collaboration aimed at improving healthcare services.

During the visit, Prof. Ize-Iyamu highlighted UBTH’s capacity to provide timely, specialized, and patient-centred healthcare services to corporate organisations and their workforce.

She also outlined the hospital’s achievements and milestones over the years, stressing the institution’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare and proposing a strategic partnership between UBTH and NNPC to further strengthen healthcare access and service delivery.

Responding, the Executive Director of Business Services, NNPC E&P, Mr. Tosin Olakiigbe, commended the UBTH management for the initiative and expressed appreciation for the visit.

Olakiigbe noted that partnerships between healthcare institutions and corporate organisations are vital in promoting employee welfare and improving access to quality medical services.

The visit underscores UBTH’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance accessible, efficient, and high-quality healthcare delivery across the South-South region.
