UBTH RECEIVES MOTORIZED STRETCHER; AS CMD PRAISES GOV. OBASEKI FOR EASING PAINS OF MOVING PATIENTS

Mrs Chikere Sabina,the Coordinator of Sports Unit, Office of the Deputy Governor, Edo state hands over motorised stretcher to the CMD of UBTH, Dr. Darlington Obaseki, on behalf of the Edo state Deputy Governor.

Edo State Government has presented a motorized stretcher to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital UBTH for the movement of patients around the Hospital.
The Motorized Stretcher among those used for the 2020 National Sports Festival was received by the Chief Medical Director UBTH, Professor Darlington Obaseki.
Speaking shortly after presenting the motorized stretcher, General Coordinator sports, office of the Deputy Governor Mrs.  Sabina Chikere explained that the government procured 5 Motorized Stretchers during the Festival and decided to donate one to UBTH to ease patient movement within the hospital.
Mrs. Chikere Sabina, the Coordinator of Sports Unit, Office of the Deputy Governor, Edo state hands over the motorized stretcher to the CMD of UBTH, Dr. Darlington Obaseki, on behalf of the Edo State Deputy Governor.

Mrs. Chikere noted that the Governor, Godwin Obaseki had listened passionately to the cries of patients who usually find it difficult moving from one sector of the hospital to the other.

According to her, “Governor Godwin Obaseki cares about the plight of Edo people irrespective of the fact that UBTH is owned by the Federal Government, but Edo people use the facility and the Governor approved this donation to UBTH for the benefit of Edo people and other Nigerians who use the hospital”
On his part, Chief Medical Director University of Benin Teaching Hospital Professor Darlington Obaseki appreciated the state government for the donation noting that it will help in the movement of patients.
Professor Darlington noted that the University of Benin Teaching Hospital has been groping with the difficulties of moving patients from one part of the hospital to the other.
