Why comedians avoid young comedians – Baba De Bab

I was going out when I saw one guy who introduced himself to me as a comedian. He told me he just rented an apartment in my area and he pleaded with me to follow him to see the house… I left where I was going and followed him.

When we got there, he started telling me about comedians.. He told me about a particular comedian that snubs and that he hates the guy..

I told him not to blame anybody that people have reasons for their actions and it’s better for you to call him a snub than for him to play with you and u will say he insulted you.

He added that senior comedians don’t encourage junior comedians and I asked him “how?”…
He said that a junior comedian will be on stage performing and a senior will be backstage saying that he has no joke.

I told him that if he was creative, he would see that as a challenge to create his own jokes.

I told him how I started comedy with only 5 original jokes and my girlfriend stopped going to shows with me..she told me she was tired of hearing me repeat same jokes and I had to start creating more jokes in order for my girlfriend to follow to shows.
It’s unfortunate we have many comedians who cant create a single joke and they are married or in serious relationships yet their ladies cant advise them.

When I bought my blackberry phone, I received the same messages from different people..so I thought it was normal to rebroadcast any article I liked…
That was how I broadcasted one article and one girl in my church commented “STALE”…

I didn’t know the meaning of “stale”, I checked my dictionary and shame didn’t allow me to go to church for 4 months because I was in the technical department and the girl was in choir ..so, I was the one fixing her mic every Sunday.

That was how I started creating my own posts and the girl commented “Nice one” and I went back to church. ? (I never told her this story and we are good friends now)

Because I didn’t support him, he now said that people don’t actually like me and that’s why I have not gone far…

Trust me na, I don’t overreact, I will ask well…
It was clear he didn’t like me but I never knew him.. so I wanted to know what he heard about me that made him hate me.

He said he wasn’t impressed the first day he saw me… I asked him “where, when and how”
He said I came to one concert around ikorodu with a girl and I was toasting another girl in the presence of the girl… that it was a sign of irresponsibility and unseriousness.

* I didn’t remember toasting another girl either did I see a reason for someone I never knew to hate me for toasting a girl when I’m not dating his sister.

Because I needed to see a good reason for him to hate me, so I asked if he had another issue with me and he said he didn’t like one of my Facebook posts “CONJI HAS NOT KNOCKED ON MY DOOR FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS”…

he added that people would see me as a womanizer and hate me for the post.

I wanted to ignore him but I had to educate him…
I told him “if u know how to create jokes, u would understand a HIGHTECH JOKE… As man, u cant think of sex when u are broke because you have bills to pay..so the meaning of the joke is that relationship has not occurred to me because I have bills to pay since I haven’t done an event for 3months”…

* The real womanizers are feminists and they don’t talk about sex on social media or in public… They are always pretending to be responsible and holy… U can confirm from girls that have been heartbroken.

*this is why when a comedian says he wants to be my friend or work with me, I will ask “u get jokes?” because comedians that don’t have jokes are the most stupid set of creatures…

THE GIRL I TOOK TO THE CONCERT: she’s that type that would see u on the street and call u sweetheart but she will never visit u all… All she wants is a free ticket to shows and me being a businessman, I was using her as P.A… I will take her to events and she will hold my phone and go on errands for me, I will feed her and still drop her at home. So I give and take we dey do.

If someone I never knew existed could hate me for what does not concern him, what will now happen if I start talking to him?
This is how comedians go about condemning other comedians to clients and the people won’t think.

This why some comedians will seat on the same table with comedians, but they won’t say a word to you to avoid “dem say, dem say”.
