YAHAYA BELLO DON HELP ONE KOGI GIRL COMPLETE PILOT TRAINING WITH ₦30M.
Family of Enejoh Faith, one aviation student from Kogi State, don come out to thank former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, after e give about ₦30 million to support her aviation training.
Faith and her family visit Bello on Monday night to tell am thank you and also give am update about how far she don go for her training. According to di family, di money wey Bello provide help Faith continue her aviation studies after lack of money nearly stop her dream to become pilot.
According to statement from Bello spokesman, Onogwu Muhammed, Bello first meet Faith and her papa for July 17, 2025, when dem go im residence to ask for financial help.
At dat time, Faith wear aviation uniform and carry her admission letter because she don already get admission for aviation training. But her family no get enough money to complete her registration and continue di programme.
Faith papa explain di family financial problem to Bello and show am di admission letter plus other important documents.
After Bello hear di matter, e decide say e go take responsibility for Faith aviation training.
Di statement say di aviation programme cost around ₦30 million, and Bello provide even more than di amount wey dem first ask for because e expect say Faith fit face other financial problems during her studies.
Bello spokesman also say di support no be public matter when e happen. According to am, Bello no organise press conference or media event to announce di financial intervention.
During di family visit on Monday, Faith and her papa give Bello update about her progress and thank am for helping her continue di journey.
Faith papa say im daughter perform very well for her public pilot licence examination, scoring 89 per cent out of 100. E also say she don complete her training and dey prepare for di next stage of her aviation career.
Di papa explain say Faith don dey dream to become pilot since she dey secondary school.
E also reveal say Bello no know am or im daughter before di day wey dem meet.
According to am, Bello intervention come at a very important time for di family because di financial pressure don already become serious.
While thanking di former governor, Faith papa describe Bello as somebody wey don become very important to their family.
E pray say God go continue to bless Bello, explaining say di family no get anything wey dem fit use repay wetin he don do for dem.
Di father also remember di stress wey e experience before dem receive Bello help. E say im blood pressure rise to 180 before dem go meet Bello, but after di meeting, e later return to 130.
He said if anything had happened to am that day, e for still die as fulfilled man because Bello intervention don give im daughter opportunity to chase her childhood dream.
According to Onogwu Muhammed, di assistance to Faith dey part of Bello private scholarship efforts.
He claim say at least four people don receive training to become pilots through di former governor private scholarship scheme, while other beneficiaries don receive support to study for universities inside Nigeria and outside di country.
Muhammed add say Faith family no come back to ask for another financial assistance. Dem come mainly to appreciate Bello and tell am di result of di support wey e give their daughter.
