A 28-year-old suspected internet fraudster has been arrested for allegedly killing his friend over a disagreement on a $1,000 transaction in Delta State. The incident occurred on January 28 2026, at Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Bright Edafe, the suspect, Mr. Oghenegare, and the deceased, Mr. Courage, were into internet fraud and had a disagreement. The suspect hit the deceased on the head during the fight, leading to his death.
Edafe lamented the increasing murder cases in the state due to hot temper, drug abuse, and unresolved issues. The suspect admitted the deceased was his childhood friend and claimed he was “logged” out of the transaction process.
